← Back to all 3d printersThe Ender 3 V3 KE keeps the famous Ender 3 footprint and price sensibility but adds the things that actually matter: a linear-rail X-axis, a faster direct-style hotend and Klipper firmware. For someone who wants their first or second printer to be quick and quiet to set up, it is one of the safest picks under its price band in India.
Our score: 4.4 / 5
The Ender 3 V3 KE is Creality’s answer to the high-speed FDM wave without abandoning the budget audience that made the Ender 3 famous. It pairs a Cartesian ‘bed-slinger’ layout with a linear rail on the X-axis, a 300°C copper-lined hotend and Klipper-based firmware, so it can sustain genuinely fast moves while keeping ringing and ghosting under control.
Out of the box it leans on automation: CR-Touch handles bed levelling and Z-offset with a one-tap routine, a colour touchscreen replaces the old click-wheel, and Wi-Fi plus the Creality Print app let you send and monitor jobs from a phone or laptop. For most buyers that means far less of the fiddly setup the older Ender 3 was known for.
Look elsewhere if: you need an enclosed chamber for ABS/ASA, want multi-colour printing, or need a build volume larger than roughly 22 cm in each direction.
In day-to-day use the KE feels much closer to a modern fast printer than to the original Ender 3. With a tuned PLA profile it clears small-to-medium models quickly, and the input-shaping in the Klipper-based firmware keeps surfaces clean even when you push acceleration. PETG is comfortable thanks to the 300°C nozzle, which matters for functional parts and nameplate work.
Because it is open-framed, draughts and room temperature affect higher-temp materials, so ABS and ASA are best left to an enclosed machine. For PLA and PETG — the bulk of what most Indian hobbyists print — it is fast, quiet and reliable once levelled.
If you want a fast, low-fuss FDM printer and do not need an enclosure or multi-colour, the Ender 3 V3 KE delivers a lot of modern capability for the money. It is the easiest ‘just works’ recommendation in the budget high-speed class.
What is the build volume of the Ender 3 V3 KE?
It prints up to 220×220×240mm — enough for most hobby models, functional parts and small batches.
How fast is the Ender 3 V3 KE?
It is rated up to 500 mm/s, with a typical working speed around 300 mm/s. Hitting the top figure needs a high-flow filament and tuned profiles.
Is the Ender 3 V3 KE good for beginners?
Yes. CR-Touch auto-levelling, a touchscreen and app control remove most of the setup pain that older Ender 3 kits were known for.
Can it print ABS or PETG?
PETG is comfortable thanks to the 300°C nozzle. ABS and ASA can be printed but the open frame is not ideal for them — an enclosed printer suits those better.
Is the Creality Ender 3 V3 KE available in India?
Yes — it is sold on Amazon.in and through Indian 3D stores. Tap “Buy on Amazon” above for current price and availability.
Any India-specific tips for the Ender 3 V3 KE?
Store filament with silica gel through the monsoon, run long prints on a UPS to survive power cuts, and slow the first layer in humid weather for better adhesion.
